An informed decision to accept Islam is often followed by the desire to understand and learn Arabic. This leads to a fuller appreciation of the Prayers, which are recited in Arabic, and their meaning and that of the Qur’an and it’s message. Qur’anic Arabic courses were an early development of the Project’s services and the variety of courses available throughout the year, provides opportunity for all those interested in developing their skills in Arabic to pursue this service at their leisure.

Basic Beginners Arabic assumes no prior knowledge of Arabic. It starts with the alphabet and takes the student through to the reading stage. Intermediate Arabic Stages I & II and Advanced Levels build vocabulary, improve reading skills, explore grammatical structures, introduce the use of the Arabic dictionary and examine passages from Qur’an and Hadith in order to aid recitation, understanding and memorisation.

The courses are week long and residential and provide an opportunity to the participants to spend time in an Islamic environment set the peaceful Leicestershire countryside’s where the study of Arabic and a more comprehensive understanding of Islam can be achieved.
